Words in Progress: My Journey to Find My Voice

Hello, reader.

I can’t say for sure why I started this blog, but I’ve always been drawn to the idea of creating something from the skills I’ve learned—and the ones I’m still discovering. One thing I do know is this:

 Every great writer once started with a blank page.

Right now, I see this blogging journey as my blank page, and I am the pen, just beginning to write my own story.

I’m Francheska, and I’ve spent the past four years writing for clients. But as a writer, I’ve always had to channel someone else’s voice. I’ve crafted words that speak for others, not for me. 

For years, I’ve been speaking through someone else’s lens, but now it’s time for me to speak through my own.

I’m still learning how to let my voice come to life. But I know this: if I can share something real, something that resonates with even one person, then I’ll have done what I set out to do. And maybe, just maybe, my words will help someone who, like me, is figuring it out one step at a time, too. 

I always consider myself a beginner, and in that, I find endless possibilities. But if I’m being honest, I don’t have clear expectations for where this blog will go. What I hope for is simple: that this space grows as I do, that these words start to mean something as I keep writing them. I may not know where this journey is headed, but I trust that every step I take will bring me closer to the person I’m becoming—and I hope it does the same for you.

As I carve out my space in this vast world and live a life that I’m still in the process of exploring, my only wish is to write 'til my heart’s content. I’m not here to claim that I’ve figured it all out, because I haven’t. But I am here to share what I’m learning as I go. 

There’s so much to write about, and my thoughts race faster than I can type. The world is full of endless topics, and I can’t promise you’ll find just one thing here—I’m not trying to fit myself into a box. I’m here to explore, to adapt, and to share what I’m learning in real-time. And if that’s something you can relate to, I’m glad you’re here.

So, what makes this blog unique? For one thing, it’s written by me: a person who’s just starting to find her voice. It’s the perspective of someone who’s still learning, still growing, and still figuring out what truly matters. 

But that’s where the magic is, isn’t it? In the journey. In the growth. In the vulnerability of being a “nobody” who’s trying to become something more—just like all of us.

I believe that writing is a way to reflect, to explore, and to learn. And with each post, I’ll be sharing pieces of that journey with you. 

If you’re here, I hope you’ll find something in these posts that helps you grow too—whether it’s a new idea, a different perspective, or simply the reassurance that we’re all figuring it out.

We’re all on our own paths, and sometimes the greatest thing we can do is take one step forward.
